The integrity of above ground facilities as part of an overall pipeline system or as a separate facility is equally important in the operation of an overall energy system. Facilities can include piping, vessels, and other pressure components. Facility Integrity Management is key to operating safely, productively, and compliantly without the threat of failures or leaks. Developing and maintaining a Facility Integrity Management Plan (FIMP) will ensure successful and safe operation throughout the lifecycle of a pressure facility or component.
To proper develop an effective Facility Integrity Management Plan (FIMP) a review and audit of current and historic plans, legacy information, and documents is essential. Once problem areas are identified an overall plan can be drafted to outline the methodology and approach to the management, inspection, and monitoring of all piping and pressure components of a facility. Pinnacle has the expertise to develop a plan that will ensure compliance to the applicable codes, practices, and jurisdictional requirements. (CSA, ASME, API, ABSA, NEB, ERCB, etc.).
Clear and thorough documentation is essential to plan routine maintenance, NDE requirements, and re-inspection intervals. Pinnacle personnel and associates are experienced with the implementation and procurement of FIMP's. This typically includes site surveys and visual inspections to document existing facilities and components and associated issues and deficiencies. Pinnacle also has the training & experience to select Condition Monitoring Locations (CML's) and other areas to inspect and monitor as part of the overall management program.
Site inspections and data collection can range from overall baseline surveys to re-inspection at chosen CML's. Employing NDE techniques and documentation of inspection results are essential to provide information on the system or component's current condition and to predict future conditions. Pinnacle provides a clear, comprehensive, and consistent reporting method to log inspection results and data.
Pinnacle will manage the overall integrity program, and monitor potential problem areas throughout the life cycle of the facility, system, or component. Pinnacle can manage and analyze the inspection data to determine corrosion rates, potential integrity threats, perform fitness-for-service evaluations, and assign re-inspection intervals as necessary. Areas determined as injurious will be recommended for repair or replacement before any failure or leak occurs.
